The most beautiful private palace of the Serenissima, opening onto the Grand Canal, offered its sumptuous setting to this prestigious private event. It is obviously in gondolas that the 80 guests went to the Ball where they were greeted by characters from the Comedia del Arte. Seated around a long table set in the imperial style and decorated with 1000 flowers, the guests dined by candlelight, accompanied by Opera singers before dancing very late on the palace floor.
